I was stuck.  Stuck in a job, stuck in a grimy city, stuck in thoughts of  impending winter.

On a whim, I found information on the web about Boquete, a village in Panama (as in The Republic of) that bills itself as a place of perpetual springtime, surrounded by mountains, home to many species of wildlife, the world's best coffee, and English-speaking people of artistic bent.

Just the kind of place where I'd like to spend the rest of my life.

A quick search found a cheap airline ticket, a rental car and a casita from an American couple.

DONE - all in a manner of minutes.

And now, the adventure begins...
